Interesting to see that there’s a big difference in parts that are quite similar in exterior, but have a lot better spec on the inside for these cars. Lucas definitely had a high end range of products as well. Double bearings in the generator etc..
We overhauled the starter motor and generator and thoroughly tested them on our vintage test-bench, complete with the original Lucas RB310 voltage regulator, which was still working as a treat..
